Winter Skin Tips – Protect your Skin

As the weather changes and winter are around the corner, the cold weather brings many skin related problems like dullness and dryness of skin, oily and scaly skin, cracked lips, itching and irritation of face hands and feet. The skin becomes dark and loses its original color. Here are some winter skin tips to keep your body healthy, smooth and glowing throughout the winter season to give your skin the care it deserves.

Moisturize your skin:

The cold weather in winters makes your skin dull and dry. Your hands look parched and dried up. The best way to avoid dryness is to use moisturizers that keep your skin smooth. Oil-based moisturizers are preferable during winters as they add a protective layer on the skin and retain the skin’s moisture.

Use Sunscreen:

The winter’s sun can combine with snow glare and damage the skin. Therefore, it is necessary to apply suitable sunscreen (broad-spectrum) on your face and hand after getting into the sun and keep reapplying if you are outside in the sun for a long time.

Wear Gloves and socks:

Take brief water baths of 5 minutes or less in lukewarm water and avoid long hot baths as hot water tends to strip away the moisture from the skin

While doing your skin cares never forget your lip. Always keep a good, moisturizing lip balm with you and make it your daily routine. It prevents your lips from cracking and chapping and help to smooth the dried, cracked lips.

Eat a balanced diet:

Keep a balanced diet full of nutrients and vitamins to keep your body healthy and glowing. Drink a good deal of water as it keeps your body hydrated from inside.
